In the end, I felt there really was no consequences for her activities and I felt that it failed the book and it’s message. Im pretty sure cecil stone's whole deal is an actual and real Mary Hoover thing that some billionaire fuck did but. Not sure I can say i particularly appreciate astrid stone's elevation as some moral bastion of ultrarich people — it's so uncritical!!
